Two more days left!
Only two days left until the end of my study abroad in the U.K. After my regular classes, I went to the museum. The museum had a retro atmosphere. All the clothes and machines in old days were displayed. It was very fascinating to me!
In the afternoon, we did an art and craft activity where we painted bags. Some people just painted, while others wrote their friends' names or drew geometric patterns, and I think it was interesting to see how each person's personality showed up.
And in the evening, it was the long-awaited going to the Disco!
For me, it was my first experience in my life going to the Disco with friends, so I didn't know what to expect. Anyway I decided to join in with my friends out of curiosity.

For me, it was my first experience in my life going to the Disco with friends, so I didn't know what to expect. Anyway I decided to join in with my friends out of curiosity.
The moment I entered the building, I was greeted by loud background music and flickering lights. I was afraid of my coming to the wrong place because it seemed too high for me to jump the hurdle. But I decided to dance with a strong will, and I started to enjoy dancing gradually. Then naturally I started to dance arm-in-arm with a stranger (lol). There were a lot of familiar songs playing, and I enjoyed it surprisingly!
I think that a disco is very attractive just because that everyone can get excited over the same music. However, I'm not very familiar with English pop music, so next time I'd like to go to disco in Japan. It is a very long day! Thank you for reading to the end! <M.K.>
The morning began under a huge gray cloud with a drizzling rain, which made my feelings clearly lower than usual. However, the weather in England was brilliant compared to Japan as it isn’t too hot or too cold.
Today, I woke up at 8 o clock, took a shower and went for breakfast. Staying here for about 2 weeks, my body has remembered the things I need to do for everyday. Wake up, eat breakfast in the canteen, take class until 12:30.
Our lunch is a 1 and a half an hour break so we played table tennis for a while after eating. Some of the people go to a town near St. Clare, named Summer town, while others go back to their room and take some rest. I have been hanging out with my friends going to Summer town or Playing around St. Clare for the past days. After lunch, we had our lessons for the project for 2 hours. We plan and make a presentation about Nostalgia, which is the weekly theme for this week. We have a presentation each week on Fridays, and last week’s theme was based on Gratitude.
Study time ended at 4 o clock and the remaining time was full with fun times. I registered for an activity, which is tennis to play with my friends. 1 hours of tennis was a good refresh for my body after studying.
Finishing Dinner, we also signed up for the Disco Activity. Most of the people use the bus to go to the disco, but I took a 40 minutes walk with my friends to save money. 2 hours until 10 was a fun time with some of the songs I know was played such as “What makes you beautiful” and “Call me Maybe”. We walked back to our dorms again and came back at around 10:40. The curfew time is 11:00 and we easily managed to get back in time. Two more days left and we go back to Japan. It can be the last time we meet our friends. I would like to spend the remaining days with no regret and make it my important memory that I will not forget it in my whole life. Lastly, I will make it back to Oxford one day in the future. < R.O.>
